New Barnstorming Section!

We’ve reached the halfway point of the 2026 baseball season, the time of year when we used to talk about the various All-Star Games heading our way. As you already know, there haven’t been any All-Star Games for the affiliated minor leagues since 2019. There will be ASGs in some of the independent leagues, but only one of those has confirmed the use of special gamers: the Pecos League will again feature an official ASG ball for each division. Stay tuned for more on those.

Today I’m announcing a new section dedicated to the resurgence of barnstorming! The spectacle of a travelling team touring the country has been resurrected over the past few years, most prominently by the Savannah Bananas, late of the collegiate summer Coastal Plain League.

The advent of Cosmic Baseball, courtesy of the Tri-City Chili Peppers, convinced me to create an entire section devoted to modern-day barnstorming, and the addition to the museum of a ball from the defunct Colorado Silver Bullets rounds it out. Please check it out and let me know what you think!
