New York-Penn League/Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York League (PONY)

What eventually became known as the New York-Penn League was founded in 1939 as the Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York (PONY) League before being renamed in 1957.  President Vince M. McNamara’s tenure spanned the name change.

With MLB’s takeover and reorganization of the affiliated minor leagues, the NYPL ceased operations after the 2020 season.
