The Mavericks League is a small independent league that plays in Keizer Stadium, home of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. The league began play in 2021, following MLB’s takeover of all affiliated leagues and the subsequent restructuring of the Northwest League. The Volcanoes were not tendered an invitation to an MiLB league, and founded the Mavericks League in response.
