PRAIRIE LEAGUE

The Prairie League was another short-lived circuit in the explosion of independent leagues in the mid-1990s. Teams were located in Saskatchewan and Manitoba in Canada, and the US states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The league began play in 1995 following the collapse of the North Central League and folded after the 1997 season.
