Four separate leagues played under the Southeastern League banner between 1897 and 2003. The first was a Class D league that played one season, 1897. It reformed in 1910 for three seasons. The third and longest-tenured operated as a Class B league from 1926 – 1950 with breaks during the Depression and World War II. Finally, the fourth iteration was an independent league founded in 2002 which folded following the 2003 season.
